Moving into Emissions trading was a natural progression for Masefield, capitalising on our products and markets. An international presence and worldwide contacts together with longstanding experience in risk-management and portfolio optimisation have provided the platform for a successful business around carbon credits.

We are currently engaging in the European Emission Trading System (EU-ETS) and in the origination and sales of Certified Emission Reduction ( CER) from Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. Here, fast growth and new regulatory changes are managed by a core team of experts with the support of contracted engineering companies. Masefield identifies, develops and sources CERs from projects located mainly in South East Asia, supplying these to compliance buyers in Europe.
