  • Masefield Europe is based in Zug, Switzerland with a European service office in London and provides a range of energy trading services. It is also the centre for Masefield’s global asset joint venture developments.

Key Experience

  • Sourcing or placement of crude oil, condensate, refined products, bio fuels and emissions products on a spot or term contract basis.
  • Creating participative marketing structures for feedstock or bio fuels production and marketing.
  • Structuring, managing and executing hedging transactions for refinery customers, end users and governments, using the derivative markets. This function includes an active risk management service that aims to preserve margins for all participants.
  • Providing comprehensive, long term, strategic inventory management services, particularly to governments, to optimise and manage strategic reserves of crude oil and finished petroleum stocks.
  • Developing tailor made structured financing and pre-financing transactions where capital investments or ownership of the underlying commodity is used to reduce the cost of borrowing or provide funding to the client.
  • Supplying Bio-fuels supported by spot and long term off take agreements, and involvement in and funding of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects and the associated Certified Emission Reductions (CERs).
